The historical essence of this place envelops you, with old-world charm and amazing mountain views. Our spacious room was a good blend of comfort and character. The staff were attentive, elevating our stay. While the dinner menu was limited, the quality of food was really good. A location that allows easy walking access to nearby shrines.

The staff is amicable here, the services are superb, and location is wonderful just off the Toshougu temple and the Shinkyo Bridget and the downstairs restaurant which was like a Denny's in the States. The restaurant serves wonderful Western food.

Comfortable bed, large bathroom and central heating, a personal safe, and multi-channel TV in the room. Premier location, close to Hongu Shrine.

It was a commendable fit for strolling around in Nikko with good value for money. The cozy bar in the hotel offered the best cocktails, making for a good evening. Be ready for the steep walk back to the hotel!

charming stay but needs some updates

I appreciated the spaciousness of my room, offering fine views, made each morning special. The dinner was a highlight, with a beautifully crafted five-course meal that was nice. Staff members were consistently helpful, providing attentive service that enhanced my overall experience. I also enjoyed the historical character of the decor that added a unique charm to my visit.

The location was fine, right next to the

River and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Our room had a musty odor that was hard to ignore, which marred an otherwise fantastic stay. Despite this, the attentive staff was nice.

Our family had a lovely time here! The super nice team, even sending my son's plush toy to our next stop, and we really enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful garden and warm onsen. The Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty, but overall, it was a fantastic stay 😊

While the older rooms boast history, they desperately need modern updates. Furnishings show age as do the tiny bathrooms with limited space for toiletries.

This place suits me perfectly! I love the free wi-fi, great dining, and comfy atmosphere. The cute staff even helped me find my lost earring during my first stay. I'll be back for a new year!
